You have 10 seconds to take action! Not a second more! That is how long it takes for fear to take control of you. That is how long it takes to flood your body and pull you away from what you want.
You have 10 seconds to say:
“Hi, I'm George and I'd like to get to know you.., when you're at your friend's birthday party and you meet a girl you like.
“Dad, for a while now I've wanted to tell you something that hurts me..., when you realise that feelings and events stand between you and your parents.
“I want to play you a song..., when your dream is singing and you're hanging out with friends.
“I'm sorry, I was wrong..., when an action of yours hurt your partner.
“Stop acting like you know it all, I want the right to my own opinion and to make mistakes!, to your friend who doesn't give you space to express yourself.
“I'd like to discuss the possibility of a pay rise..., when your manager has been forgetting for a while now that this is an important issue for you.
It has been observed that once someone takes action within the first 10 seconds of the stimulus causing them fear appearing, the sensation of fear in their body drops dramatically and they can proceed with what they want to do.
Try it today to feel for yourself that it works. Experiment, at first, with less demanding situations, such as when you think of approaching a stranger on the street to ask for directions—the moment you think of it, just do it!
Experiment with the 10-second rule, I'd love for you to get in touch with me at gkekis.gr for clarifications/comments/thoughts!
Wishing you bold moments!
